Please forgive my stupidity here - but I don't understand what you mean by copy codes and post instead of comment.
I do have some banners that I would like to put on my profile and journal pages .... but have absolutely no idea how to do it ... apologies, but a step by step direction may be helpful here - lol
1. Start as if you want to post a message on your LJ. 2. Switch to "HTML" 3. Insert your image via url (if you klick the "Image"-Button it offers you url, and you get the url from an image if you get on the pic, press right mouse button and copy url) 4. Then upload 5. It shows you the code (because you're in "HTML") 6. Copy it - instead of posting the message - and switch to your profile and insert it :) 7. Should work
It's hard to explain, especially since english isn't my 1. language. It's not so complicated, you just have to try.
