You know, most people don’t understand why I love Brian Kinney.

He doesn’t do compromises
He doesn’t do trust
He doesn’t do sacrifice
He doesn’t do needing

He doesn’t do apologies
He doesn’t do love, actually he told me, he doesn’t believe in love
He doesn’t do boyfriends
He doesn’t do partners

He doesn’t do relationships
He doesn’t do marriage, he detest marriage, calls it a hetero-lie
He doesn’t do romance
He doesn’t do monogamy

He doesn’t do family
He doesn’t do kids
He doesn’t do nicknames, except of course you think "asshole" is a nickname
He doesn’t do cuddling

He doesn’t bottom – never!
He doesn’t fuck anyone more than once

It’s a lot, isn’t it? I can’t even remember how often I heard "Brian Kinney doesn’t do…" since I met him. I also don’t remember how often he told me "I don’t do…" since we met. And not to mention "He’s never gonna change". It seems that really everyone knows exactly what Brian Kinney doesn’t do. They think with knowing that, they know him and most of time they think he’s just an asshole, even though they might like him for some reason. And everytime they complain about him, roll their eyes on him or just shake their heads and wonder why I love him, I think about it.

He might not do compromises
but he accepted rules I made up and never broke them

He might not do trust
but he has tons of faith in me

He might not do sacrifice
but he sacrificed everything to save Liberty Avenue

He might not do needing
but he said "Not without you"

He might not do apologies
but he apologized to me

He might not do or believe in love
but he said "I love you"

He might not do boyfriends
but I’m his boyfriend

He might not do partners
but I’m his partner

He might not do relationships
but he calls us a couple

He might not do marriage
but he proposed to me

He might not do romance
but he bought me a manor

He might not do monogamy
but he comes home to me everytime he wants to fuck

He might not do family
but he bought weddingrings and never returned them

He might not do kids
but I was there when he hold his son for the first time

He might not do nicknames
but he calls me "Sunshine"

He might not do cuddling
but he holds me everytime I need it

He might not bottom
but he does it for me (sometimes)

He might not fuck anyone more than once
but he fucks me since 10 years

Now you know why I love Brian Kinney, don’t you?

And do you want to know what he really doesn’t do?
He doesn’t give a shit about what people think.
