Justin's POV
1)
It was horrible, I never expected something like that, not in the slightest. Was it that bad the last time, too? And how did he clean it up then? He was sick, weak.
"Brian, please. If you don’t drink, I'll have to call 911.“
It helped. I wasn’t sure if it wouldn’t be better to call 911 either way, but at least he seemed to fight against passing out. I also wasn’t sure that it was really about dehydration and I decided to call the doctor the second I got this under control again. I definitely needed some more information.
2)
He was so fucking pale, almost white. I stroked his cheek, while he drank the ginger ale.
"Okay, that’s great“, I whispered.
I looked around. I knew he had spaced out all the towels on the bathroom-floor to hide that he hadn’t reached the toilette in time. I wanted to slap him for not using the trashcan, but I decided to wait until he was at least fully awake to hear me.
"You can’t stay here, let’s go to bed.“
I looked down on him, even his shirt was puked all over. Fuck the deal, that’s never gonna happen again.
3)
After a few minutes he seemed to be back with me, not 100 percent, but at least enough to tell me that he hadn’t puke for a while now and that he thinks it’s over so far. I tried to get him up on his feet. He was very groggy, but still wouldn’t totally lean into me.
I made sure he wouldn’t walk into the ginger ale on the floor when he sat down on the bed.
"We need to change your shirt, put your arms up.“
He didn’t argue, he didn’t look at me. I knew he was ashamed.
4)
After changing the shirt, he laid down and I crawled over him to lay beside him. I knew I had to clean up the loft and I would, but for a few minutes I just wanted to be with him. I pulled the duvet over him and took his hand.
I didn’t know what to say, so I came up with: "We have to write an essay about the baroque vein. 2000 words. Please, tell me, why am I back in school?“
He squeezed my hand. Maybe he finally realized that there was no reason for him to be ashamed.
