You were able to help us understanding the Justin-Craig-relationship. I’m no Craig fan, that’s for sure, but I managed to grasp his point of view. You have to listen to and tolerate other people’s opinion, even though you don’t always like it. I was happy that they were able to establish some sort of relationship. Justin always needed such a thing.
It was different with Brian and the "warden". Another author would have probably tried to find a solution for “the letter” in the end. But you are dependable. You left it just that way. The "warden" was like that. The letter was very important for the B/J relationship. The consequences showed that Justin has to trust Brian as well and that both have to keep up working on their relationship. To me that’s the perfect happy ending.
I also liked that Emmett and Ted were allowed to find their luck in your story. They deserved it. I always liked Emmett and I grew into Ted in the last couple of seasons. I thought about my favorite scene /chapters. There were so much of them. I picked a few:
The most romantic scene was Brian suddenly surprising Justin in New York after him feeling homesick. That was so sweet and just like Brian. And Valentines Day after all. And Brian rubbing the other love birdies’ nose in it. Just fabulous.
I was touched by the bombing’s anniversary. It was poignant to read each point of view. You made me think.
The webcam sex was just hilarious. At first I didn’t know what was going on but then I almost died laughing. Soooo good. I was able to picture their faces. And then once again with the monogamy topic. It was the right moment for Brian. You described it with just enough humour that it didn’t sound too fluffy.
I suffered a lot because of the cancer. It was even scarier when Justin finally realized how lonely Brian was. I was so relieved when he compiled a flight plan eventually. It was about time.
I was scared when Ethan appeared. I’m aware that you think that Ethan is not that bad. Thanks that you let him stay just for a short period of time. I was relieved because I don’t like the character at all (I’m getting goosebumps all over me when someone turns on so much blarney)
It was nasty when their house was under attack. It was very difficult for B/J because it was their safe harbour.
I could go on and on because there is so much else to say.
You are supposed to critisize in a review as well. Here’s my criticism: the story has come to an end.
