I actually never followed OTH but since some of our mutual friends were huge fand I did hear a bit about it.Even without knowing that show I def agree that it's so disrespectful to the fands when things change and become totally OTT. It's best to just end everything instead of taking the show downhill, imo.
In fact BH 9021 also aired on WB but it was before it turned into the CW ;)
